Chino covers a total area of 29.7 square miles with a population density of 2,629.9 people per square mile. Shopping and Dining in Chino
Chino has a weekly farmer’s market as well as chain grocers. There are eight shopping centers in Chino including Chino Spectrum Marketplace & Towne Center where you’ll find all your favorite shops and restaurants. The fine dining favorite is Owen’s Bistro where you can also take cooking classes.
Arts, Culture and Entertainment in Chino
As a part of the planning of downtown Chino in 1994 the idea of a Chino Youth Museum was born. The mission of the museum is: “Interactive learning to foster a better understanding of tomorrow through an appreciation of yesterday and today.”
And if you love the theatre there is the Chino Community Theatre which is a successful community effort with 178 productions in its nearly 30 years of existence.
Chino is part of the Chino Valley Unified School District. There are nine elementary schools, three junior highs and three high schools. There is also one charter school and a fundamental school. A branch of Chaffey College, a community college is the one higher education venue in the city, but Chino is close to many larger schools like Mt. San Antonio College and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
Public Transportation in Chino
Chino has easy access to California Route 71 and 60 which connects to California Route 57 and the Intersate 5. It is also within four to six miles of three Amtrak stations and has one airport and is within striking distance of the Ontario International Airport.
