Anaheim Hills is a planned community within the bounds of the city of Anaheim. This affluent community started in the 40s and 50s with a few scattered, low density tracts. It really took off in the 70s when rancher Louis Nohl sold his parcel in the foothills east of Anaheim. Texaco Industries planned an upscale community of 7000 homes. More homes sprouted up in the 90s around Weir Canyon Road and in 2007 approval was given to the Irvine Company to build 2500 more homes. This is to be the last major development in Anaheim Hills.
